Fleet Feet is proud to present the 8th Annual Arizona Trail Race, to be held on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014. This unique, 8-mile race features the beautiful landscape of the Arizona Trail within Colossal Cave Mountain Park. Recognized as Southern Arizona's premier trail running event, race registration opens Dec. 1, 2013.
Due to the nature of a single track trail and our desire to minimally impact the land, the Arizona Trail Race will be limited to 250 runners. We recommend you sign up early, as this race has always sold out. Entry fee is $45 prior to 12/31/13 and $50 thereafter. Register by printing this form or visiting the store. Or, you can register via Active.com.
Is this race great, or what? Look what you get: free admission into park; Brooks long-sleeved technical shirt ($35 value); quality medals for all finishers; Fluid hydration and recovery products; free post-race breakfast. You won't want to miss it!
Colder temperatures have arrived in the desert, and we have a wide selection of apparel and accessories to keep you going all season long. Layering is key to staying warm and dry when temperatures are cooler.
A moisture wicking base layer is a must for winter comfort. The Sugoi Carbon Longsleeve and Craft ProZero Extreme short sleeve are two of our favorites. The supurb wicking and insulating properties of both pieces will keep you comfortable and dry.
Vests such as the Pearl Izumi Elite Barrier Vest are quite versatile and can be a great way to keep your core warm without running the risk of overheating.
A good half-zip and/or jacket will get you through even the coldest day, as you can vary the layers underneath. The Brooks Utopia Thermal Hoodie for women and the men’s Craft PR Featherlight Jacket provide warmth and wind protection.
We often don’t have to layer as much on the bottom. Ladies, capris are great for our climate here in Tucson. When there’s a little more chill in the air, a pant like the Saucony Drylete XPT for men still lightweight, but warm as well.
Don’t forget about your hands and ears! One of our favorites is the Mizuno Breath Thermo glove. It’s made with fibers that actually warm as you sweat—they not only wick, but warm as well. The Craft Active Headband and hat will offer complete protection from the cold without the risk of overheating.
Make sure you are ready for the cold at Fleet Feet!

Did you miss the first class in our Building a Better Athlete Yoga Series? You still have a chance to register for the remaining 2 classes!
Most everyone knows that flexibility is one of the key components of fitness, yet most don't really know how to achieve it. We are big believers in yoga as a way to help you achieve greater flexibility and well-being and we'll show you how.
This is not your average yoga class, as Diane goes in depth into the philosophy and specific benefits to each pose, and how they will enchance your other fitness activities. Even if you are a devoted yoga enthusiast, you will learn something new from Diane.
The cost for the remaining classes is $40, or you can register for individual classes for $25 per session. Better yet-- all participants in our remaining classes will be entered to win a free yoga mat from Manduka valued at $50!
Diane's goal as a yoga teacher, personal trainer, and fitness enthusiast is to bridge the gap between yoga and other fitness activities like running and walking. In this series, you will have the opportunity to establish a foundation of yoga poses and breathing exercises to help you incorporate yoga practice into your fitness routine. Through yoga, you can maximize efficiency and fluidity of movement, enhance breathing capacity, and improve recovery time.
