Intermediate 10K Program

Fleet Feet's Intermediate 10K Training Program

Fleet Feet's Intermediate 10K Training, powered by Saucony, targets people who are
currently running 2-3 miles, and would like to be able to build to 6-7
miles. The key to building mileage and endurance is to do it gradually,
allowing your body to adapt to new levels of impact.

The Intermediate 10K program is right for you if you are:

- Pain-free from injury for at least three months; can run for 30
minutes (sustained or 30 min of running between walk breaks)

- A graduate of the Fall Fleet Feet No Boundaries program

- Looking to build your mileage to run/walk six miles by the end of
April

- Looking for other people to run with and have fun.

In addition to the above, as an Intermediate 10K Training Participant, you can choose to add on the following programs to your training for an additional $25 each:

Cross-Training Workout:

We feel so strongly that cross-training makes you a better runner that we have added an affordable cross-training option to our training group offerings.  For only $25, you will receive a pass valid for 10 visits to Marcel’s Total Fitness gym (located next to our Tanque Verde location).  This pass gives you full access to all gym equipment as well as the ability to participate in any fitness class offered, including spin, yoga, core fusion, fitness and boot camp.  Individual personal training is not included.  For those on the Northwest side of town, Marcel will be bringing his workouts to the Fleet Feet Oracle Crossing store.  Weekly in-store training sessions (tentatively planned for Thursdays) will include dynamic stretching, resistant band strength training, dumbbell work, full core work out, functional strengthening and body weight training.

Track Workout:

For those of you who want to push yourselves a little harder, this option could be for you.  Track work is essential to becoming a stronger and smarter runner.  For only $25, you get to join our Fall 2015 Distance Group participants for a weekly, hour-long session on the track.  The East group typically meets at Sahuaro HS and the Northwest group meets at Orange Grove MS at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.  On occasion, the groups will meet in alternative locations for specialized work or hill training.
